Description
A Rare Early 18th Century Scottish Antique Chamberstick / Candlestick Inscribed "Lucken Booth, Edinburgh" & Dated "1703"A rare early 18th century Scottish antique brass chamberstick. Possibly made as a love token with a heart shaped finial at the tip of the elongated and down swept shaped carry handle, the handle inscribed "Lucken Booth", terminating with a heart shaped and cut out cruciform base with a single candleholder. The base bears the inscription "Edinburgh" and is dated "1703". It is presumed that this may have been made by a journeyman metalworker offering
